The island boasts the statute of <strong>an ecological island - A Protected Landscape Area<\/strong>, that guarantees the preservation of nature in a natural state. The Sobieszewo Island has about 35 km2 and covers over 1000 ha of forest. Its wide, clean, 11 km beach is the longest in Gdansk. The Island is a refuge of peace and wildlife.
